You reproduce who you are

What you do matters – who you are matters more. While your actions, skills and teaching as a coach (or the one investing in a coach) have good effect, it is your life that conveys the strongest message.
You may teach what you know, but you will reproduce who you are.
So, who are you? What will be reproduced in others? Those are questions we address in our engagement with the coaches.
Once you hold up a mirror and look at your own life, you realize that there are parts of your example you don’t want others to follow. Why can’t they just do what you say and not follow the example that you set?
You have to start with yourself. You lead yourself first, then the players and coaches in front of you. The process of transformation and change in your community starts with you.
God’s transformational work in us and you, will lead to transformation in others.
The more time invested, the bigger the impact and the change. A week long, once-off training event will therefore not be sufficient. Instead we want to focus on an on-going journey to go deep and effect real change as well as continuous growth in the life of a coach. The training event then forms part of this journey.
This requires life-on-life engagement, disciple-making as Jesus modelled it.
