Internships

 

Working alongside Ambassadors staff, interns will play a vital role in our projects across South Africa. Interns will have a number of responsibilities. The exact task profile will be adapted to the strengths, experiences and interests of the individual intern:

  • Whole-life football coaching (diverse age groups, levels and context), relationship building and mentoring of children, youth and young adults
  • Assisting in long-term engagement with the coaches we train
  • Planning, preparation and accomplishment of diverse sports ministry camps and events
  • Assisting with training admin, setup, preparation and later on shadow training
  • Helping with developing project and training material
  • Assist with marketing, fundraising and functions
  • Admin/Office work

Expectations and requirements for an Internship with Ambassadors Football South Africa

  • 3-12 months duration
  • Agree on Vision, Mission, Objectives and Values of Ambassadors Football
  • English language skills
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Financially self-sustained (raised support)
  • Own laptop
  • Self-initiative, ability to work in a multicultural team, openness, willingness to serve and learn

As part of the internship, interns receive training, in order to best equip them for their ministry work. From this training and time spent working within an Ambassadors project, interns gain valuable experience in community development, coaching and leadership as well as having the opportunity to develop their character.
